Our valued client Barry and his daughter Fiona invited us to collaborate with them on their family owned hotel on the doorstep of the Lake District. Their vision was to create atmosphere and interest throughout their hotel bar and restaurant design by moving and re-designing the bar and constructing a specialist private dining area. Complementary to the construction phase of the project, we launched a comprehensive fixtures, fittings and electrical scheme which was guaranteed to provide the wow factor.
Private Dining
Throughout this project there was a strong drive to achieve multiple private dining areas. The hotel will cater for work meetings and conferences and the client was eager to improve their offering to their professional, business use visitors.
The large private dining area is suitable for an extension of the dining area and can also be closed off for a larger party booking or conference.
Key Design Features
IMD brought the clients vision to life through a thoughtful mix of textures, colours, and details:
• Hardwearing finishes: Strong hardwood parquet flooring and tiles adorn walkways. Complemented by luxurious velvets and resilient leathers in rich earth tones ensure durability for years to come.
• Atmospheric lighting: Well considered lighting points, the use of table lamps and wall washed LEDs draw the eye to key focal points and enable the client to set the mood for each area.
A Layout for Every Occasion
Beyond aesthetics, Longlands bar & restaurant was designed with functionality and versatility in mind, catering to a variety of dining and social experiences.
• Striking Focal Points: The standout feature of the bar and restaurant is the large curved bar. Accented by simple bottle storage to the back bar and elegant pendants hanging over the bar. Soft toned wooden panelling to the bar front and a subtle colour pallette really allow the bar to sing and create a talking point.
