Innovative Restaurant and Bar Interior Design: Lytham House, Lytham

The former Portofino restaurant on Henry Street, Lytham, has been transformed into Lytham House—a stunning bar, restaurant, and live entertainment venue that redefines hospitality design in the heart of the town. Designed in collaboration with Ross Robinson, with whom we have worked on previous projects such as The Eagle @ Weeton and The Ship @ Freckleton, Lytham House has become a landmark destination for dining and socialising.

The venue is set to offer a one-of-a-kind experience in the area, seamlessly blending daytime dining with vibrant evening entertainment. Guests can enjoy brunch, lunch, coffee, and a variety of small or large plates during the day, transitioning into cocktails, dinner, and live entertainment in the evening.

IMD’s innovative restaurant interior design creates a sophisticated and opulent setting with a unique botanical theme. A standout feature is the breathtaking 30ft steel tree that rises through the centre of the building, spanning two floors. The tree’s roots and trunk are surrounded by a marble poseur table on the ground floor, while its lit floral canopy cascades over diners on the first floor, creating a “magical botanical ambience.”

The interior design extends to the practical, with two private dining rooms offering modern amenities. One accommodates up to 30 guests, while the other holds 14, both equipped with flat-screen TVs, fridges, coffee and tea-making facilities, and connection points for visual and audio presentations, making them ideal for celebrations, business meetings, and parties.

The former bar and restaurant area has been opened up to create a spacious, relaxed environment that encourages socialising. Recognising the power of social media, the design also includes an Instagram-worthy flower wall at the entrance and a photobooth for guests to capture memorable moments.

Lytham House exemplifies IMD’s ability to create engaging, dynamic spaces that deliver standout bar and restaurant interior design. It is the go-to venue in Lytham for exceptional food, drinks, and entertainment, with a design that invites guests to share their experiences both in-person and online.
