Managing Director

Lisa Power

​I started work in 1994 in an Architectural Practice, gaining experience and qualifications in Building Construction and won the title of  ‘Technician of the Year’ for three consecutive years, plus other accolades for my studies before moving into the world of Interior Design.

I joined Imd in 2003, where I have gained a considerable amount of experience in Commercial Interior Design, designing predominantly for the Leisure & Hospitality industry. I love to transform spaces and gain huge satisfaction from seeing the final result.  The best projects are borne out of teamwork and collaboration, drawing on the strengths and expertise of each individual.  I feel immensely proud and fortunate to work in this sector and career.

Since starting work,  I have also relished the challenge of renovating tired properties in my spare time, including a new build overseas.  I am both creative and artistic both inside and outside of work, I love to draw and utilized the lockdown days to learn the art of Venetian plaster.  

My spare time is devoted to spending time with family and friends (and walking Chester).

Director

Stephen Yardley

I studied at UCE (now Birmingham City University), where I earned both a BA (Hons) and an MA in Interior Design under the guidance of the legendary Steve Edge. My career began in London, where I honed my skills before returning up north to Manchester. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience working on leisure, retail, and hospitality projects, both across the UK and internationally.

I’m passionate about all things art and design, with a love that spans from classical architecture to mid-century design, art, and furniture. I’ve been deeply inspired by the London modern art movement of the late eighties and nineties, which continues to influence my work today.

I’m married, with a daughter and two King Charles Cavaliers, Daisy and Rosie. On weekends, you’ll usually find me walking the dogs or cycling through the scenic lanes of Lancashire and North Yorkshire.

Director 

Rebecca Tilley

I have been an integral part of the IMD team for over 18 years, and I have honed my expertise and passion for design. Having earned a BA (Hons) degree in Interior Design, I have accumulated a wealth of experience across a wide range of hospitality and leisure projects. Known for my keen eye for colour and attention to detail, I thrive on creating innovative and quirky interior schemes that meet the evolving demands of today’s leisure industry.

Beyond the office, my creativity extends to my personal life, where I enjoy spending quality time with my family. As a devoted mum to two lively young sons, I relish the adventures of parenting while making time for family weekends away in our motorhome with my partner—a perfect escape to recharge and find inspiration for my work.

Interior Designer

Derryn Bradford

I’m the newbie of the team! I started at IMD in 2023, however I have a wealth of industry experience from Clarke & Clarke, Farrow & Ball and curtain and furniture showrooms. My role here allows me to combine all that knowledge into our projects and through our collaborative creative efforts enables a truly cohesive scheme that ticks every box for the client. My personal favourite project to date was The Orange Tree at Congleton, the Georgian features of that building are simply stunning! We went to great effort to preserve and reinstate the Georgian Glamour of the space by highlighting corbels, cornice, and other interesting architectural details along with installing a fabulous interior scheme – if I do say so myself. They say if you love what you do then you’ll never work a day in your life, and I take great pride in being able to say that I love my job!

I love adventures with my husband and son, we spend as much time as possible camping, walking, and exploring local towns. To the contrary I can also be found rummaging through shelves in TK Maxx and Home Sense searching for new treasures for home followed by some lunch with a friend!

Office Manager/Accounts

Angela Gould

I have worked part time at IMD & Associates since 2012 as Accounts Manager, having worked in accounts since leaving school.

Although I'm not involved in the design side of the company, I'm proud to be part of such a fabulous, passionately creative team.

I'm happily married to Tony, with four grown up children between us, who still keep us busy! A life long Preston North End fan for my sins

Welfare Support Officer

Chester

Part time office dog and general character! 10 year old cockapoo.  Very affectionate and intelligent. Likes nothing more than a treat and human touch. Often found having a snooze in his bed under the desk.
